Privacy: your photo goes to the cloud

This matters more than the unlock. FaceApp sends the photo you are editing to its servers to apply many effects, so your image leaves your device. With an official build that is the maker's own policy to weigh. With a repacked mod, you are also trusting an unknown third party who altered the app, which can add trackers or ask for permissions the original never needed.
